Guest Post: Disney's Homeschool Days Event January 25 & 26

Disney has just announced the next Homeschool Days event for January 25 and 26, 2010. The event, called “Engineering the Magic,” will take place at the Magic Kingdom.

A wide variety of Youth Education Services (Y.E.S.) programs are offered January 24, 25, and 26th. There are too many to list! Y.E.S. programs require a more expensive ticket, but are well worth the extra money (in my past experience).

Florida residents may purchase a one-day pass for Disney Homeschool Days, but all others must purchase 3, 4 or 5 day tickets. Most of these ticket options now include one Y.E.S. program. Ticket prices for this event remain a fabulous deal! Remember, even if you have a few days left on a non-expiration ticket (like we did), you still have to purchase these special event tickets. Just save your old ones for the next trip.

The Homeschool Days ticket includes a one-hour interactive presentation by Disney Engineers called “Science Rocks”. Disney describes it as “food for your brain as you discover the scientific principles that put the thrills, chills, and fun into the most magical place on earth.”

I know about this great program because my family attended Disney’s Homeschool Days in January of this year. It was an incredible experience. You cannot beat the ticket prices or the program quality!
