Reading, Writing, Arithmetic and Disney!

We welcome a guest writer, Ellen, who is an extremely busy homeschooling mom of 3! Ellen has been a huge inspiration to me (Elizabeth) in her faith, family values and savvy shopping!

Reading, Writing, Arithmetic and Disney!

Want a great value in education and entertainment? Walt Disney World is hosting “Homeschool Days” on September 21 and 22. This event will be held at Epcot featuring the international pavilions of the World Showcase.

And the best part…the ticket prices! You can purchase 3, 4 or 5 day regular tickets, Park Hopper passes, and even add the water park option. Personally, I think the five day Park Hopper pass is a fabulous value for $143.57! That’s just $28 per day! Because the prices are so reasonable, there is just one price for adults and children. Go compare that to a regular priced five day Park Hopper and you won’t believe the difference! Even if you have a few days left on a non-expiration ticket (like we did), you still have to purchase these special event tickets. Just save your old ones for the next trip.

The Homeschool Days ticket includes a lecture by a Disney Manager who oversees the International Programs. In addition, there will be Youth Education Services programs (YES) you can purchase along with your Homeschool Days tickets. YES programs are an additional $25 per program, per person. There are too many YES programs to list here but you can find the list on the link below. In my opinion, the YES programs are well worth your money.

“Homeschool Days” at Disney is a great program and I know this from personal experience since my family attended this event earlier this year in January. We purchased the five day Park Hopper pass and got an incredible value for this quality program. My oldest son was the only one of age to participate in a YES program and he learned so much! We loved the program so much that we plan to go back in January.

Act quick! “Homeschool Days” registration ends on Friday, September 18th at 3:00pm. Click here for more information.
