Time For School Supply Shopping

It's officially "Back to School" shopping season! As a mom of 2 school-aged boys (pre-k and first grade), I've already printed off my school supplies lists from the school websites and have begun looking for my "thrifty" deals. My goal is to get everything on the list at the lowest price possible so I carry the list with me in my wallet and if I'm out and see something marked down, I can refer to my lists.

And of course, I read through the Sunday ads to see what the best prices are on school supplies. Last week, my school supplies shopping began with the purchase of the following:

  • Folders at CVS for $.05 each (regularly $.50).
  • Backpack at Children's Place for under $7 (regularly $16).

This week, it looks like I will be buying composition notebooks at Target for $.50 and glue at Target for $.20 - both are "thrifty" deals!

Walgreen's, CVS and Staples all have good deals this week. See my additional post about their deals.

Let us know what deals you find on school supplies this week.
